I'm doing a bit of self reflection & been reading through some old journals. Not just reading through them but I decided to type them up. And I found the entry where I first got online access at home.

This wasn't the first time I was online, I was spending time on a local BBS that I accessed on my bf's computer (he had an Amiga). But somehow I got a computer myself, don't know what kind, that info isn't there but I got America Online.

Sept 24, 1995. I had 10 free hours for signing up and by Sept 29 (which is when the journal entry is) I had used up 5 of those hours. My entry reads:

I'm going to have to limit myself seversely because it's $2.95/hr after I use up my free hours... I found a really cool chat group. BookShelf where there's book chats ...Then there's Movie Madness. Some of the same people went in both. It was interesting because 2 people got in and started insulting the host They kicked one person off and the other left (I think). At the end of the journal entry is:

I'm enjoying this.

I remember my AOL days. I spent a lot of time and a lot of money in those chat groups. No wonder I could never save up and buy something really nice.
