Collected Thoughts

I was so excited about writing my X/S story. It had sex. Not to mention I had this, not a rewrite, but I felt like I was really working on stage setting details, that I think I'd been missing in my other stories. Physical descriptions and reactions. I had all these new little details.

I went to go work on it and the draft was gone. Evidentally I didn't save it right.

And Autosave doesn't seem to work. So all I have is the first round of edits. That's it. I didn't think about it from Thursday-Friday. I was giving myself a break and I was going to look at the story with a fresh eye.

Now I have the bare bones story and I can't remember the new snippet of dialouge I put in, exactly the wording of ending. How I described certain things.

It's so damn frustrating. Although I just realized that one draft may still be with my beta reader. I will once again go back to saving drafts like a maniac, I got lax and I have now paid the price.

And maybe email myself copies of the drafts I don't know.

Today instead of thinking about this I watched Firefly, in order, and ate chocolate ice cream.

Mostly in order, somehow I skipped over Shindig, and I'm not sure if that's because I don't have it or just fastforwarded thorugh it by accident. I have a sneaking suspicion I may have taped over it, in which case I'll have to beg someone for a copy.
