(no subject)

I hate being pmsy.

I want to read Kat Allison's End of the Road, but I can't right now. I know it's a hurting kind of story, hurty in the emotional good way. I was going to stay away from it but---it's a new story. I read the first few paragraphs and started gettign weepy. So that's put off until later.

Also I'm feeling volatile. Really. There's someone on the Board I love. That I want to...I will not feed him. But, it's so damn hard to ignore an idiot. It's so much easier on IRC /ignore is a beautiful thing.

It would help if I stopped listening to "Holy Tears" as well. Why do I do this to myself?

On the other HAND.

I have now seen Serenity-Safe in order. FOX WAS FUCKING NUTS for not showing this show in order. Really they were, because it was not OVERLY westerny. Really it's not. And the character development is so much easier to follow and subtler and...gah!

It's so much easier to understand Companions. I remember how frustrated everyone was how muddled the whole Companion thing was, and--okay--I still have questions, but the rules are laid out much better watching it like this. And you can see Mal's honor much more. Our Mrs. Reynolds (which was aired THIRD) actully comes AFTER Shindig and Safe.

So once you see Our Mrs. Reynolds you know it's really not surprising to see Mal acting that way about his new bride. Of course he doesn't want to stay married to her! Besides the fact that he doesn't know her and was basically tricked into marrying him. The way she expects to act toward him is extremely subserviant, almost slave like.

And what was one of the undercurrent themes of Shindig? Slavery. Mal's very anti slavery feelings. In the initial bar fight, in the way Atherton treated Inara, etc.

Not to mention Simon's character development.

But there's Buffy to discuss elsewhere.

Volatility has nothing to do with it, because I'm right there with you. He was annoying the heck out if me. If someone doesn't like the episode, that's fine, but they don't have to remind us of it every thirty seconds for the entire watch and post. Shut up, already, and let the rest of us enjoy it.

Sorry, didn't mean to rant. Just agreeing with you. Will Doblerize now.

I didn't even see the watch and post (not having a computer and tv in the same room). But it was afterwards. Shut the fuck up!

And when anyone agreed with him I wanted to say No! god don't talk to him just!! Go the fuck away you fucking moron you don't know a damn thing about the show. Or get it. I don't want to hear you.

finally I just went "la la la la" and pretend he didn't exist.
