Collected Thoughts

I was late for school, I was getting my ass kicked by Excel... HOWEVER! I am getting my head around Excel thanks to Hec, who is wonderful and sweet and sent me emails with real world examples and not the stupid abstract shit the book has.

At lunch I skipped off to the used record store, I browsed, I found a cd, I found something else---a gift for someone, a surprise...hee!

I was late getting back. But that was okay because I decided to hit another used record store---okay this one is just a used cd store...the other one actually stocks records...and found---

GREAT BIG SEA for $3!!!!

Dude! I thought I was going to have to order for Amazon.ca to get any of their stuff, because they are Canadian and it's import and all that. Actually I think Amazon.com has their stuff but it's cheaper with the exchange rate.

BUT--$3!!!

Which means someone in town bought it and didn't like it. I found a promo copy of Regency Buck for $1 at the other used record store.

I keep hoping I'll find The Headstones dirt cheap, but I don't think so.

I discovered, after seeing that lysana is going to see Great Big Sea, that they are playing near here. Just a few hours away in a town my aunt lives in and I thought "Dude! I can swing that!" at least the tickets and staying with my aunt.

Except she's going to be here because it's my couisn's (her son's) birthday. So there goes that. I mean I could get a cheap hotel and all that, but I'm really not familiar with the city and what with gas prices it would be out of my price range. So, oh well.

OH! And I'm getting my hands on Season 1 and 2 of Due South. Vecchio!!!

Even though I don't find Vecchio physically attractive and oh so yummy like Kowalski is, I do like Vecchio. So this is very cool. Vecchio! Hee.

And.And. HOMICIDE! on DVD! Of course A&E's dvds are usually expensive but HOMICIDE! God, I hope they have extras. Commentary. Anything. something.

Is it sad and pathetic that the desire for dvds and to go to F2Fs and conventions is what is driving me to get through my courses as quickly as I can so I can get an internship? Not just the internship, but the sooner I get done the sooner I can get a real job. Of course I have to actually know this stuff which is why I'm going back and studying Word. I know how to use Word but I know it when I look at it, and not when someone just asks me questions about it.

But I did, finally, begin to understand Functions with Excel. So that's something. Now I just have to see if I can remember how to do stuff without looking.
