Everyone else is and I'm bored...The book meme

1. What book is in your bathroom?

A book of classic/medival fairy tales, I can't remember the exact title.

2. What book is in your purse/backpack?

I don't carry a purse often and when I do it's not big enough for a book. HOWEVER, I have at least 5 books in my car and right now I can't think of the titles, but I know there are 2 library books one on Zen and the other is a murder mystery.

3. What book is on your bedside table?

On the bedside table and around the bed are: a couple of books on Zen/Buddhism. Tipping the Velvet, American Gods, and um...I know there is something else...

4. What was the last book you lent someone?

ALL my Anita Blake books---which was everything up to the last 3. And Deeds of Paksenarrion, which I'm sick about Deeds because she's never given them back and this was at least 2 1/2 years ago.

5. What was the last book you lent out that someone brought back to you?

Technically the library book I checked out for Mom that she gave back to me to return. Other than that---nothing. After the above mentioned episode I don't lend out books.

6. What book do you have loaner copies of, solely for the purpose of foisting it on unsuspecting friends and relatives?

I don't. I barely keep copies of books that I like myself (I trade many books back to used bookstores so I can get more). I'll suggest books to people and direct them to the library, which sounds cold hearted but I'm not losing anymore books.

oh my goodness. I lost my set of Deeds and that's definitely a keeper. I loved that series. I bought it before it came out in one book.

Have you started Tipping the Velvet yet? I started it last week, but then I got impulsive and bought the new Anita Blake, which I just HAD to read right away, so I put Tipping the Velvet aside. I'm almost finished with Anita, though, so then it's back to the dancehall girls.
