VMAs
I don't think I'm ready for popslash, but I think I'm ready to take the plunge into pop fandom for Christina because--
MY GOD! was she hot! She's finally stopped looking like a skanky ho with really bad hair extenstions and now she just looks sexy. Hot. Damn.
I wasn't all into Britney in the Like a Virgin thing, Britney's never impressed me and then Christina came out and then Madonna. Madonna and Christina, I think, had way more chemistry than Madonna and Britney and it was just my opinion that Christina looked more comfortable. Plus she moved better. And the garter thing. Plus---Christina looks, softer, more lush than she used to. She looks so much more amazing in the black hair than she did as a blonde.
Then I saw her Dirty/Figher performance. I never really liked Dirty as a song, but even though I said "no no I don't like Fighter" it gets stuck in my head. Plus I really liked the video even though it didn't seem like a Christina vidoe...it seemed like something Madonna would do. Although, I realize now that I'm not giving either Madonna or Britney enough credit because Madonna started out with Holiday and Lucky Star. So, Dirty/Fighter. That outfit was amazing, those boots...and then her interaction with Dave Navarro.
I missed seeing Duran Duran get their Lifetime Achivement Award because I was flipping between that and Queer Eye. Kelly Osbourne looked like a fangirl and Avril looked bored out of her mind.
I'm not sure how the VMAs work. But it seemed like some of the artists newer videos weren't nominated, but videos that came after them were nominated.
Like I thought Fighter came out after Dirty, but Fighter wasn't nominated.
I missed Metallica's big finish I'll have to try and catch that. II wanted Johnny Cash to win more.

That whole thing was one of the hottest damned things I've ever seen.

She does look really hot with dark hair, doesn't she? She's done some very weird things with her hair (the Lady Marmalade vid, for instance), but I really like the new look.
