I'm pretty srue I have PMS because I'm in such a mood right now. Anyway.

MI-5. If you aren't watching it WHY NOT? MI-5 is incredible, intelligent, angsty but not over board. I'm surprised more La Femme Nikita people aren't watching it. And all of you who like your Woobies---if I think I'm using the term right. Y'all need to check out Tom Quinn. The man keeps getting caught between personal and professional life and getting his heart stomped all to bits. And he looks so lovely. All kinds of professional angst, personal angst.

He looks wonderful as ASH's protegee. ASH is fantastic in his episode by the way. There are great characters: Zoe, Danny, Tom, Tessa, Harry. All of different ages and ranks and purposes. Support people. Well excuted plots. It's intelligent television and according to vonnielake it will be out on dvd this winter. But avoid the rush and watch it now.

Also, there's the whole Slash thingie. And then there was this discussion on the discourse chat and I was going to write something a few days ago and I didn't but here it is now.

So, if I'm asked I'd say that I'm a slasher, I mean I see the slash. Sometimes I see it in places I don't wanna. And other times I just don't see it where everyone keeps telling me it's so very there (LoTR for example). Except if you look at my stories---15 completed stories all 100-2,000 words 3 are slash stories. 1 has anything resembling sex. The rest are gen character pieces. I also have some het stories that I want to write. As for what I like to read, well I like to read anything. It doesn't matter what I started out reading, because honestly I'll read anything when it comes to the characters I like. Even if it's trash I'll try it once. Heck I've tried mpreg more than once and I don't even like mpreg.

But I like a lot of different characters in a lot of different fandoms and there are so many writers with different views and interpertations of those characters that personally I can't imagine limiting myself to only one type of story or one pairing or whatever. Which is why I'm not an OTP person. I just like reading all the different possiblities. Plus I see all fanfic as being alternate realities/unverse to the original show/movie/etc so anything can happen...just some stories are more alternate than others. And it's prefectly reasonable for Xander/Anya to live together happily forever and Xander/Andrew to as well. Or you know, Ray Vecchio/Fraser and Ray Kowlaski/Fraser. Because all I have to do is find more stories where they are together.

Which is why I can be okay with non happy endings. Although sometimes they are still uncomfortable. But, that's one of the possiblities as well, and the sad ending isn't any more permenent in my head than the happy ending. They all live parallel together. Like the TNG episode where Worf keeps flipping between the different lives, except I never look at the realities where he and Troi hook up because, yeah that's possible, I just don't want to see it. That can be kept private.

Unless Troi was more kick ass in that reality or anything and less " I can sense pain".

I'm tired and loopy and digressing.

I guess I should go over to TWoP and check out the MI-5 forum over there.

And behind the cut tag I'm so fucking tired of school. Not going but the not doing anything. Today is a three day week. And the third week of the quarter. 6 weeks left. And I have a shit load to do in order to get done. Tomorrow I've got to do home work. And I keep getting the same excuses from my instructor, about how I shouldn't take the tests until she has a chance to grade the work. Except she won't until she has the key for the new edition even though I've told her the new and old editions are identical. So I took 3 tests today (they are on the computer) and I got high enough grades I dind't have to be wasting my time doing the workbook. So I wasted time on that when I could have been studying the important stuff. There are so many chapters to go and I'm wasting it. And I haven't even done the transcription tests, which I should have before I even got to this section, because she doesn't have the tapes. She sent them to be redone. But of coruse she's freaked out because her computer still doesn't work and she's working with student computer and for some reason no one's come in and given her admin access to anything. Anyway, if I get almost finished but not by the end of the quarter I don't know what I'm going to do becuase it's not going to be my fault.
