(no subject)

I'm hopelessly stuck on my story for the key challenge.

I just read [livejournal.com profile] jenboo's. I'm trying to write a Vecchio in Vegas story as well.

Not like hers.

I know the idea, I told it to a few people. I had it all in my head and when I go and try to write it out--Ray goes off on a tangent about something else.

The other stuff is nice, it'd make an interesting story but it's got nothing to do with keys. You hear me Vecchio? The story is supposed to be about keys...

You can always just let the story go where it will, and then run it here in your LJ. Not as good as making the challenge, but it will still teach the muse to fool around with you. :-)

I'm just really stuck I keep starting new ideas and the situation with my Mom and grandmother aren't helping.

Howsabout while he's doing this other stuff, he loses his keys? Then every page or so, in the middle of the action, he can think "Where are my keeeeys?!"

Or maybe not. ::g::

I hate when stories don't go how they're meant to. Good luck!

I'm with Theodosia...write whatever he wants you to write. At least you're writing something. I've learned that sometimes to get a good story, or any story, you just have to let them talk to you.

*hands [livejournal.com profile] askye icepack* That ought to help with the keyboard prints on your forehead. ;o)

It's a good sign, really, that Vecchio's gotten away from you. It means he's truly fleshed out. I just _hate_ the kind of fanfic where it is so obvious that the author forced the characters to behave as the author desired, regardless of being truly in character - it doesn't ring true.
My first Janeway/Chakotay fic, I intended for them to screw in the holodeck. But they wouldn't. Just would not. Friggin' Chakotay broke Captain Janeway's leg, but have sex? oh nooooooo, of course not.

Had to crash the Delta Flyer, dismember Chakotay, and put Janeway into an altered state of consciousness in order to get them in the sack.

My point? Go with whatever it is Vecchio wants to do.

The story has totally gotten away with me, when I was helping my friends move I got some other ideas to flesh it out, I just need to go in and make some notes.

of direction and I don't just want to toss
