Quick thoughts on tonight's Angel and then I'm goign to bed. I have a massive headache from caffiene withdrawal and I'm going to scrounge up some Advil, take my Ambien and meds and go to bed.

I liked this episode better than last week's. I never got around to discussing last week's and I meant to. The ghost trying to kill Spike (forgot his name) annoyed me---he sounded like a parody of scary bad things rather than an actual scary bad thing. Especially calling Spike "it".

This week's episode, was fun. Although it was mostly light hearted it dealt with all of the characters--WES! There was WES! And good character moments. My heart broke for Wes when Fred asked him what he thought of Knox. I figured that was where she was going but I could see Wes wanting it to be more..and poor Wes. He's never going to get what he wants, always denied. The look on his face when he watched Fred and Knox.

Gunn pissing on everythign to mark his territory was a good call. At first glance it had the ick factor but it ties nicely back to Gunn's personality and how he started out with Angel Investigations. When Angel first encounted Gunn and approached him Angel treated him like an equal, at least as a fellow leader. Gunn didn't fully understand what he was leading his group against but Agnel didn't patronize him. That changed.

Last season when teh spell was cast so Angel would lose his soul and we had that episode where everything was such a Mary Sue story, Gunn wasn't an equal he was more comic relief. Gunn has felt marginalized for awhile which is why I can really believe he decided to get the lawyer upgrade from W&H.

Lorne played on that aspect of his personality to get him into the meeting, Lorne suggested that Gunn mark his territory, Gunn picked the places where. It's very telling that Gunn chose Angel's chair.

The introduction of the psyche holding facility or whatever they called it makes me wonder if that's how they are going to reverse what was done to take Connor out of the picture. I kept thinking Fred would stumble on a container.

I had to laugh at Eve and Angel having sexual chemistry because, of course, they don't.

Angel ending his orders by telling Eve they were going to have sex was funny. As soon as I realised Angel and Eve were under a spell watchign them have sex wasn't spork-worthy.

For about two seconds before I realized what happened I was wishing for a spork.

That went longer than I thought.

I'm glad that you're here to talk to about this because no one else I know watches Angel. *snerk* I have a question. I know Wes likes Fred, but I thought her and Gunn used to be a couple. What happened with that? I know that Gunn and Wes kind of fought over her before didn't they?
I adored Lorne in this although I think it would have been funnier if he was just a little more over the top. I agree with the sex after the orders thing. That was funny. Oh, and why was Spike in this episode again? Heh.

Gunn and Fred hooked up after Connor was born, so I'm not sure what's going on with them. They broke up partly because Gunn took it into his own hands to kill the professor who sent Fred to Pylea. Fred wanted to send him to a demon dimension to suffer, Gunn didn't want Fred's hands to be dirty (I think but hey! Fred survived in Pylea and she does have a taste for violence). That was pretty much the beginning of the end, Gunn was also having self esteem issues about Fred's intelligence.

Because we don't know what Wolfram and Hart did about Connor (did they just erase the memory of Connor and leave everything the same? Did they alter reality to take out Connor's existence entirely?) We don't know how that has effected, well, anyone.

Spike's around because the WB sucks and wants him on the show. They think James Marsters will bring in the female viewers which is why he's being used to promote the show almost more than DB.
