So I lost my post. I had a nice post and it's gone. Just great. I hit something on the keyboard and BAM! All gone. Fuckity.

What I was saying was---I need to get my hair cut, can't get it cut until Monday, and my hair is driving my crazy. It's too long in the front and on the sides...it's looking shaggy.

Also I was saying that I got my first bit of critical feedback, critical in a good way.

The other night I was in chat just me and this other guy and we were talking writing and fanfiction and he asked what I had written and I told him, started describing my stories. He's only seen 4 episodes of Smallville and mostly reads the comics but he was interested in reading them so I gave him the links. He had questions and comments. He wanted to know: Why Lex wanted forgiveness and why Lex thought Clark had secrets when Clark and Lex were still together, he wanted to know what secrets Lex was going to share with Clark. (Shatter). He wanted didn't think that a couple would pit themselves together even as mock enemies, he thought Lex would build a robot or something, he thought that having Lex and Clark pretend that Lex was Superman's enemy underminded Clark's convictions of Truth, Justice and the American Way. He wanted to know what finally caused the break between Clark and Superman.

And suddenly I felt stupid. The guy wasn't being mean, he was nice and just curious. So I had to defend my stories and I found I could defend them and they made sense to the guy and I didn't feel stupid.

Random stories I like and think should be read:

Teilko by Grail. Written for Livia's Smallville X Files Title Challenge. Quite possibly my favorite Smallville story. "But Clark knows. He's been naive in the past. Toed the line of dense. He won't let himself be naive about this." It's stunning and beautiful and sad.

Strength by Slodwick. Whitney fic! Another beautiful, sad story. Whitney on the day of his father's funeral.

Neopaganism by zahra. Another Whitney story. Yes, I like Whitney. Whitney thinks about religon, Whitney thinks about confession. Whitney thinks about Clark.

Via Negativa by Brighid. Another story from Livia's XTitle Challenge. Lex finds the light.
