oh look I stayed up all night not even tired. I didn't do anything either. Well, I watched some episodes of Smallville and this morning chatted a bit. But otherwise, totally wasted time online and let two stories I'm trying to write taunt me.

They just sit there and taunt, which they shouldn't do since I'm the writer and I should be in charge, but they don't seem to listen.

One is about Clark. I've decided my Snippet (go down a few entries, I'm too tired to link) is going to just stay like that. Unless I figure out how to work it into a story later. Mostly though I realise the Clark story I want to write doesn't have to do with sex. I could draw parallels to sex and homosexuality but I, really, I think that labelling Clark might not be exactly right because he's an alien and who knows what's right for him. Okay in Superman canon he has a Mom and Dad who loved each other very, very much and had a baby. But that hasn't happened in Smallville yet and I have a whole summer to write a story before I get retconned by Smallville Canon. Besides I'm interested in Clark's alien-ness and how he feels about that. I've seen flashes of it on the show, not really in the episodes I watched last night. Well he did tell what's his name--the recluse guy he knew what it was like to feel different, and I skipped over the Bobby Gone Bad episode (Kinetic). So I need to watch for that "how does Clark deal with being 'different' ".

I can't really get frustrated because it hasn't been dealt with on the show, I could tell from the finale that they are going to deal with it next season(at least I hope that's what the space ship's floating meant). But I keep wondering how he's feeling about it and what he thinks about it and what he wonders about his parents. So I'm working on that. But the story just taunts me because what I have in my head and what's ending up written down aren't working. I think it's time to go back to writing longhand.

Also Lana has a story to tell. I didn't set out to write a story about her, but I was chatting with [livejournal.com profile] pandarus and I started thinking about Lana and suddenly there she was in my head telling me she wasn't as vapid as everyone seems to think she is. However trying to figure her out is hard, so I need to go back and watch specifically for Lana. I'm not particularly over joyed by that because KK's acting bothers me. I'd lik eLana a lot more if KK was a better actress. Also I want to know why Lana has seemingly dropped out of high school to run the Talon and "Shoddy writing on Smallville" isn't cutting it for me. I think I've come up with a legit explination.

Of course what's really hampering me is the fact I have no confidence in my ability to write dialouge. I've written some dialouge but I think it sucks and doesn't sound like any of the characters.

Also I need to rewatch Angel episodes and Buffy episodes because every since Hell's Bells I've wanted to write a Xander story and I haven't. I'm starting to feel bad for putting that off. And Wesley has something to say, pushy bastard.

God y'all are probably bored reading this, but I needed to process through somethings.

And, now, I'm tired. Figures, I have stuff to do today.
