Friday nights are great, there's dancing, there's mild flirting with the cute blonde guy, and that slight chemistry with the slightly older man...and then I come home and there's Firefly.

Life is pretty decent. I danced tonight some with J, who is just---how to describe him? Funny, handsome, masculine. And mostly it's just friendly dancing and friendly flirting, barely even flirting. And there are those times where I swear he gives off pheremones or something, he moves a bit and we end up dancing closer, and somehow density of the air changes and just for a moment I think "god if he'd kiss me" and then everything snaps back into place and I realize a kiss isn't going to happen. Which isn't exactly as frustrating as it would seem, because I don't really want anything TO happen, it's just nice to feel that way.

And then I come home and I watch Jayne moon over Simon and it's so sweet.

And here's what I thought about Firefly )
Which leads me to this. Well if you read the spoilers it leads you to this, if you haven't, well I'm here now.

I'm saying good bye to Smallville. I haven't been as intrigued this season as I was last season. When I've watched on tape delay I've fastforwarded a lot. When I've watched it live, I've groaned too many times at the anvils and the plot holes. I knew coming in that Smallville wasn't like Buffy or Angel, it wasn't a show like CSI. It's not like Boomtown.

But I watched Lineage and all I could do was shake my head. When Lex was in danger, I didn't think "oh no!" or even "poor Lex" all I could think was "god, Lex is in trouble again, oh he got hit on the head. again." I read what LaT and Tharimis and others thought of Linage, what they've thought of the season and I can't see what they see anymore. I want to like it and I want to care. But I don't. So, I'm giving it up.

And since I'm dropping SV from my Tuesday night taping schedule I'll be better able to watch Buffy. And I think I'll start taping Boomtown on Sundays.
