I finally finished listening to Oscar and Lucinda as read by Ralph Fiennes (abridged version_. I'd never seen the movie or read the book, so I didn't know how it ended and I was so caught up in listening to Ralph Fiennes yummy voice and not quite paying attention to how the story unfolded that I missed a very key point and therefore got my heart all stomped at the end.
I have to say the end of the audiobook is very, very good.
Even though I promised myself I wouldn't check out any fiction until I'd caught up on my backlog of novels I own I think I'm goin get the book so I can read everything that was abridged out.
The other thing I've decided is Ralph Fiennes should read more British books for audiobooks. Not only does he have a wonderful, yummy voice BUT he does all the various voices really well including the women.
Found out also that Hard Core Logo is going to be released in Canada as a "real" Dvd complete with deleted scenes (!!!) and commentery I'll have to see when I can get this.
