Collected Thoughts

Last night I dreamed I was sick and I had to go to the doctor. And while I was at the doctor, complaining about my sore throat, he tried to seduce me. Well...not so much seduce me as snuggle up to me, but it was snuggling with intent. Except he sort of dozed off and then declared me well and .... said I had to get up and not be such a whiny baby and hike back down the trail.

My doctor, who I never saw for most of the dream because he was behind me the whole time (arms around me that kind of thing) turned into Nick Lashay---AFTER he stopped snuggling and told me I was whining.

And I turned into Jessica Simpson.

I've got to stop watching Newlyweds on MTV. It's a trainwreck like you wouldn't believe and my god I can't believe either of them, but when they start invading my dreams I draw the line.

I liked it better when I was having weird dreams about Smallville and Buffy and Due South.

To any pop fans out there---since I really don't listen to anything (although now I want Stripped) is Jessica Simpson popular? I don't think I've heard a single song of hers and I know she's not like Britney or Christina. so where does she fall in the popland spectrum.

Also... I need some more icons, but I can't seem to find any I like. I've been poking around various icon communities but the new thing seems to be those soft focuse pastely things, which make me think I'm not wearing my glasses.

So... First, I saw a dead fox when I drove to school this morning and this was bad. This wasn't as bad as me cutting someone off accidentally and nearly causing a wreck.

However, I clipped a construction barrier something or the other with my passgener sidemirror and popped the glass out. Which I didn't realize until I tried to change lanes. So that's gone. woo.

School was only okay. My instructor did a double bill of "my diabetes" AND "when I was growing up a country girl" this afternoon. Not to mention I woke up really late, wasn't able to make breakfast or pack a lunch and totally blew off my diet. There is no way I'm starting back to day one so I'll just pick up where I left off tomorrow.

However things looked up after school.

I went to the library and looked at cds. I found several I had been looking for--including Rum, Sodomy, and The Lash which I accidentally deleted from my harddrive. There were also two high school Goth Girls there. Totally neat. They were looking for Johnny Cash. I got to talking to them and one said she was a closet Nsync fan--"not the backstreet boys!"

And then the other saw the SG-1 dvds I was looking at didn't realise there was a tv series "I loved the movie!" They had the Season 1 Vol 1 dvd there so she was going to check it out. They were picking out cds to check out based partly on band names and partly on cover art. I told them about The Headstones, and said that the library didn't have it but that they could download the music and order the cds online. I tried to describe the music and I think I failed. So I tried to describe Hugh Dillon and when I got to the description of mohawk and eye liner one said

"All guys should wear eyeliner!!!"

and the other said "Like Johnny Depp in PoTC!!!"

I felt like I was speading the fannish love.

I found the sole Great Big Sea cd and kind of pushed it on them, I figure they'll never see me again. I left with 6 cds I hope to be happy with, a dvd I probably won't watch and one more book from the banned book display. I've been slowly checking out a few.
