Last night I flipped between Tru Calling and Survivor.

I kept waiting and waiting and waiting for CKR on Tru Calling and checking the clock---he didn't have enough screen time damnit!

I wanted to like the show, I really did, and the storyline wasn't that bad. However all the running and running and running and running was a huge ass waste of time. Not to mention the catch up thing that wasn't in the middle of the episode. That weird flashy thing where we were caught up on all the events that just happened in the last 20 mins? Totally unnecessary. It was worse than the "previously in the first half" things that the WB would run during Smallville.

Tru Calling was not that complicated. An episode of Farscape might be complicated enough to need a diagram to go with it, but that would be probably in the last season of Farscape.

The first episode of a show shouldn't need a section to catch up the viewer, it looks bad because it either means the show is too complicated (Tru Calling wasn't) or someone in control thinks the viewers are stupid (not a good move either).

From what I understand the pilot had to be reworked and I'm wondering if the catchup flashy thing (I have not technical term for it) was part of the reworking.

I'll watch next week but if there is that much running in each episode I'm bailing. Eliza is hot but, hell I fast forwarded through most of the running in Run Lola Run. I get bored easily.

As for The twist was interesting. I couldn't tell if the Outcast tribe is a permanent thing or just a one shot deal. Thank God Osten is gone, I don't know why Andrew is getting pissy about one of the outcast Morgan's coming back they have to be better than Osten. All he's done so far is lose them challenges, bitch about the conditions, freak out over the animals, and eat. I'm sure no one they voted out would have been scared of a pelican.

It's a pelican not a goose. I would have given him a break for freaking over a goose, those birds are mean.

Jon staying with Drake is good strategy, he's annoying as hell and personally I don't want to see him onscreen but he seems to actually do stuff instead of spending all his time bitching about how much time it will take.

I'm wondering if the next Reward Challenge will be food based, Morgan said they were down to one more serving of rice. Hopefully who ever is voted in can fish otherwise I'm not sure how they will eat.

After watching Angel on TNT I miss Cordy. The real Cordy not Pod Cordy.

Cordy who went down to be Gunn's protector and gave him what for. Cordy who snapped into action, saved the girl's life, and rattled off all the important details to the nurse. And when she told the guy to stop right there without even turning around I wanted to cheer but it made me sad.

Cordelia used to be great and she grew up and grew wiser and then got eaten by a Pod Person.

Seeing today's episode also reminded me that the first time I watched it I saw a Gunn/Cordy shippy vibe.

Askye did you see the links that I recently posted in my journal? They were all stories from a Cordelia site. There were several I think you'd like if you haven't already looked at them. My post is here.

Oh, BTW, I really liked that episode more than I thought I would. It surprised me, and yeah Cordy was cool in that one.

What were your expectations for that episode?

I book marked the Cordyfic site, I just haven't explored it yet.
