Going to the beach this weekend w/Mom for Mother's Day. YAY that especially since I thought at the last minute it would be cancelled.

Of course the Tampa Bay/Philly game is Saturday at 3 pm. I was going to tape it but--my VCR is broken!!!! I put a tape in and it pops right back out. I felt around inside the VCR and looked and it doesn't seem like anything is stuck in it. I think it's broken for good. I don't know what I'm going to do about the hockey game, but it is time for a new VCR and I'm going to either buy a cheap on at Target or see if I can get a deal on one at a pawn shop near the university.

Also going over to my friend E's. I haven't seen her in almost 2 weeks at this point. I really need to start trying to download the Angel episodes again since she's relying on me and I've fallen down.

In other news I finally watched Dress to Kill. Eddie!! For some reason I had to stop it and didn't watch the end. Also some of the material was similiar to what he did in Circle but it's still funny and I would have more to say but...

Wednesday I bought more graphic novels and comic books. I got 2 back issues of Batgirl that I don't have...issue 30 and 31. I have some of that are numbered in the 40s but I couldn't remember which ones so I picked up really early ones.

Plus I got Robin: Year One and Batman: A death in the Family. I think I got Death in the Family. I know I bought two graphic novels but I looked at a lot of the Batman titles.

Last weekend I went to a comic book store I hadn't been to before and they had a good selection. There's another I need to hit...they are strictly comic books and gaming books and I need to stop by there and see what kind of selection they have.

I forgot to ask about The Outsiders but I really didn't need to spend more money.

As an addition to my last post...

I actually bought Robin Year One and Robin Reborn. I still had them in my car so I checked when I went to run an errand during lunch.

This weekend I plan on taking my comic books to the beach and while Mom takes a nap and reads her latest mystery I'll lie on the floor and read my comics. It will be a lot like when summers when I was little and my brother and I would go over and hang out with my cousin at my great aunt's beach place and we'd read comics. My cousin had an oversized Star Wars one. I can't really remember anything about it except it was larger than other comic books and the cover picture was the same as the promotional poster.

You know, the one where Leia is clinging to Luke in a very non sistery way. Unless it's Special Hell sistery.

I loved going to the beach...well I still do...but it's not the same as when I was a kid. We'd play out all day on the beach, or in the afternoons after fishing. We'd go inside to play monopoly or read comics when it rained or it was too hot.

Of course I always lost at monopoly because my cousins invented "team" monopoly. Where my older 2 cousins and my brother and our other cousin would team up and I would play by myself. When I talk about it now it doesn't seem like there'd be that much of an advantage but 2 heads are better than one and they would psyche me out.

But I miss it because although it was frustrating that whole time is full of great childhood memories.
