I'm so fucking pissed at Dad right now. I can barely keep from telling him off.
It's about laundry. Again. Dad has one of the oldest cheapest washers out there. We also have incredibly hard water. So there is almost no water coming out of the washer at any given time. I've cleaned the filters on the hose multiple times -- I try and do it twice a month and it's always always icky and gross and clogged.
So I know the inside of the washer is icky and clogged and gross. It takes all day to do about 3 small loads of laundry just because of the water issue. In fact I've taken to dumping water into the washer to get it to fill faster.
Today I go to do laundry (which I desperately need to do, I hate doing it on the weekdays because it takes so damn long). I put the soap in, turn it on and watch for a minute to see if any water is coming out.
At first I don't think any is. Then I realize that there's one little trickle. Not even a stream a kind of dripdripdrip. And it's just one. So I show it to Dad and tell him that I really think he needs to get the machine serviced or replaced or something because -- look! almost no water! Dad just shrugs, well it does take a long time but there's still water coming out and I don't know what I can do.
Today, probably nothing. But, still it's an issue. I mean, this has been an issue for at least a year, probably longer, but it's not actually broken, so in dad's mind there's no real reason to have it serviced or replace it. And it's not like there's a huge money issue and he can't afford to get it fixed or replaced.
I'm so fucking mad. I called Mom and asked if I could come over and do at least 2 loads of laundry, beacuse I have nothing clean to wear out in public (my fault I know but I just dread doing laundry) and after I get two loads clean I'll go to a laundry mat to do the rest.
Oaky. I just told him that I will call for a repair person and I will pay to have it repaired, because it's my issue. And now he's all, I had no idea it bothers you this much or it was an issue for you.
I bring this up EVERY TIME I Do laundry. I bring it up when I don't do laundry.
Living with Dad for much longer is going to drive me insane.
And take lunch. He caught fish and his friend suggested he paoch the fish. So Dad tries poaching it, but he also makes brown rice -- starts them at the same time. Then heats up some canned veggies and make soem comment about how the fish will be boiled by the time the rice is done. I looked at him -- you have to take the fish out before it gets over done. Oh. He was going to leave the fish in for as long as the rice cooked.
As Mom says he's brilliant in many ways but lacks common sense.

I suspect this is why they don't go see doctors as often as they should. Some sort of gender conditioning.
Sigh. Sorry about the laundry mess.
