A year ago

A year ago I was moving here! I can't believe it. It seems like just a few months ago and at the same time it seems like I've lived here forever. Quite possibly because I was familiar with the house from when Grandma lived here.

And there are still things I haven't done and stuff that hasn't been unpacked.

It's so cool to think about! No wonder I've had urges to kind of redecorate. Not totally just finally put up some things that I wanted to.

I'm thinking about getting a bunch of Mexican picados, like this http://www.casabonampak.com/papelpicado.html, and put them up as a border on my living room walls.

Did the dragonfly lamp thingy turn out to be useful? I wondered about that when I was in Ikea last month.

I took a bunch of pictures when I put it up and thought I posted those. I'll have to look through my computer and find them again. It looks great, I love turning it on and turning off the lights and just looking at the dragonflies. I also have to show everyone how cool it is when they come over.

When I wore those cool earrings to work the other day my Boss noticed them and went on and on about them.

The guy who made them is a friend of mine, and also of Sparky1 and cofax! Cool, it's fun when people like your jewelry; it's an added bonus IMHO.

I remember seeing the photos you posted when you moved in, because that's where I got the color schemes for the stuff I mailed to you, but I don't remember seeing any photos of the lights. Course, without a computer at home, I don't/can't always keep up with LJ and I'm down to keeping up with only Press and Beep Me in b.org, so I'd have missed it there. I'd love to see how they look if you find them!
