askye at 03:17pm on 08/06/2006YAY for the FDA! Boo to all those conservative groups who continue to act as HPV is the only STD out there. I really don't think there are a lot of teenage girls who are going to say "Finally! Now I can have sex!"
I don't even think that many people were aware of HPV before all of this.
I find the whole -- On noes! If we talk about sexually transmitted diseases and how to stop them then our children are going to run out and have sex! When the same adults are probably have tons of talks about the dangers of drugs, alochol and smoking.
Plus it's stupid that basic human biology isn't being taught out of some religous hysterical fear. I keep running into young women who don't know how their own bodies work and that's really scary.
