askye at 01:10am on 25/11/2006I came into a bit of money and wanted to upgrade my tv (from the 20" 8 or so years old). So I took advantage of the Thanksgiving sales and I'm now the proud owner of a 27" LCD HDTV! Which I've named The Giant Overlord. I have to go in tomorrow to change out my digital cable box to a HD box.
There's a big football game tomorrow and I think instead of going to the game I'm going to sit back, relax, and watch it on the Giant Overlord.
Right now I'm watching hockey on the Overlord. I spent a lot of money but I did get a good deal and I realized that a good tv is something I want to spend money on. I'm fine with getting my furniture second hand, there's a couch at Goodwill that I was eyeing -- $50! But it's kind of rough looking, comfy but rough looking. But this is a huge splurge and I love it. I just have to get the PS2 (my brother's I'm keeping while he's away) and the dvd player hooked up.
