I made Quiche!
I hope it turns out. I'm making it for a work breakfast thing some of us are having for a co worker. Her husband died unexpectedly at the beginning of the month and we really want to do something nice for her. Someone made her a cake.
I wanted a breakfasty thing I didn't have to cook in the morning and quiche is okay at cold or room temp. I kinda messed up it called for 4 ozs of cheese (well it called for one kind but I subbed with a mix of cheeses) and 2 oz of mozzarella. Which I totally forgot . And I added a bunch of herbs, someone is bringing sausage and bacon and I didn't want a meat heavy quiche and I know some people dont' like spinach and mushrooms and asparagus (together or singly) so I figured plain with herbs. It's 1 tbs basil, 1 tbs parsley, 1 tsp oregano, and 1/2 tsp of tarragon. It took longer to cook, I think the oven is off. And then I microplaned Parmesan cheese over it, added finely minced parsley and basil, and then another light layer of Parm. After it was out of the oven and cooling.
I hope it tastes good. The crust didn't burn although it's uneven and some of the filling splashed out on one side. We'll see.
