I danced almost every single hustle (one of my favorites) with L who is a GREAT dancer and usually only dances with really experienced dancers but he dances with me. Because 1)I'm there and I ask and he's nice and 2) I think he likes to dance with me. He throws new moves at me all the time and I try to follow, dancing with him as REALLY improved my following. Also I danced Cha Cha with M, who I love to cha cha with. I waltzed with H...he's an associate instructor at Arthur Murray, I always try to grab him for waltzes and mereneges during class. He's waltzes are very swoopy and elegant and grand.
PLUS there was a guy I hadn't met before, D. Nice, funny, intelligent. Mostly a Country and Western dancer, but he knows Swing (my weakest dance) and he helped me out with it. All these guys are great leads and I love to dance with them. Plus they are TALL.
I'm not really tall---5'7", ---but most of the guys I end up dancing with are pretty much my height. Except for H, these guys are 6'3+. It's cool to dance with someone taller. Plus I always learn something when I dance with them.
So I had a wonderful time, my legs ache. At times I felt like I had just run a sprint and was sweating, but that's one thing I love about dancing. Besides the fact that it's fun, there's a great feeling of accomplishment when I'm done. Plus I love putting on a show and trying to be dramatic or sexy or flirty or whatever the particular dance calls for. I think I'm getting better at it.

It doesn't hurt to check out the local college to see if they have something like that.
Also, you can ask people you dance with where you can pick up some lessons. The "dance addicts" I've met have been great about telling me where the best places are to go dancing and where to get extra lessons.
