I saw Atanarjuat (The Fast Runner) last night, it was an amazing film. Wonderful story telling and visually stunning. I haven't been to the movies in ages and that was the perfect film to go see. (Last movie I saw in the theaters was Spiderman I think. ) The only trailer that was shown was Two Towers. I didn't think Atanarjuat would play here, we only have one theater that shows independent/foriegn films and usually they show the more "mainstream" indie films. (stuff like Sunshine State, etc).

I need to watch my Netflix films.

I don't really have anything fannish to say at the moment. I keep thinking of things but I have a headache and I can't think straight to type anything up.

Atanarjuat

I'm SO thrilled, b/c my art house theatre (which is in my nabe, right around the corner from me -- I can walk there in 10 minutes) is getting this!!!!

On the other hand, the much further away art theatre (and therefore unlikely to be visited by me) is the only theatre with The Sunshine State, which I *really* want to see.

I have nothing much more to say, except I'm glad to hear that you liked Atanarjuat.

Sunshine State is playing at this theater, the theater is also showing: The Good Girl, The Believer, City by the Sea, and Serving Sara. The only movie that's shown elsewhere in town is Serving Sara, which is totally big budget.
