Collected Thoughts

The more I watch the show the more I liked it. I laughed so hard last night, Jayne makes for great comedy. Everything from that little whimper he made when pulled off the tape to the whole drunk and singing the Jayne song. Plus "They had a riot for me." Then he got sad and confused, poor Jayne. He just likes his guns and his violence and that really does seem to be all he understands. He's not a nice character but I do like him.

Wash was great. Mr. Snark, plus he and Zoey are awesome together, I really would like to see a show that focused on them. And I'd love to know how they met/fell in love/got married.

The only part of the episode I didn't really like was the parts with Inara. They either needed to be expanded (although I'm not sure how they could do that) or left out. Plus I kept thinking that the son was going to turn out to be gay and not a virgin like his father thought. Also when the Magistrate guy was harping on his son I got a flash of Monty Python and the Holy Grail...where the son only wants to sing and the king desparatly wants him to get married beause they live in a bog.

But I'm very weird.

When I first saw the previews I thought that Jayne would actually have done something like that on purpose, which worried me because I sort of like Jayne as he is.
