askye at 05:42pm on 04/01/2003This whole starting School thing has me in a "get organized" panic. Why I wasn't in this panic last week I don't know. I have a stack of videos I need to get rid of that have been cluttering up my desk. I don't think they'd sell on half.com, I was going to give it a shot and then realized---I can't sell anything on half.com. No credit card, no debit card. Oh well. I guess I'll call the library tomorrow and see if they want donations.
I need to cull through the rest of my videos considering I haven't looked through the drawers in months. Except to see what my brother might want to borrow.
I was going to get rid of my Nightmare Before Xmas video, but I looked inside, and I still have all the inserts and crap that came with it. But I have 2 copies of Amadeus on video and some cartoon stuff I don't want anymore. Actually my video collection is very odd. Heavy on the Britcoms and Disney classics with the occasional classic movie and documentary thrown in. I just don't have room for this crap.
I really really want to rearrange my room and I'm getting closer. I got rid of what I thought was box in my closet---it was two speakers. To what I don't know. Plus there was some low shelf that made all my dresses wrinkle. Gone. I need to get the stuff off the floor and then get someone to help me move the furniture.
And I keep throwing away crap. How do I generate this much trash. And the spiral notebooks. I found SIX that only had the first 15 or so pages written in and the rest were blank. I do that and then go out and buy more. Bad me. I have another 6 or 7 that are filled with stuff.
I'm now in the radical "Have I used this? Am I going to use this? Do I remotely like this? Will I regret this?" Phase of cleaning out. Where I say NO To all of the above and then several months later have major regrets over something I threw out/gave away.
"I'll never wear that again." The following winter "Holy god what was I thinking that was my favorite sweater!"
