I was born in 1973 so this counts right? I mean, dude, I don't remember anything about the 70s.


Bold for yes, plain for no.
1. You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE".
Yep

2. You watched the Pound Puppies.
I had several little pound puppies, I'm sure I saw the cartoon.

3. You can sing the rap to the "Fresh Prince of Belair"
Well no, but I remember how the intro goes visually. I could do an interpretative dance.

4. You wore biker shorts under your skirts and felt stylish. -
Not me, I was very shy and unstylish.

5. You yearned to be a member of the Baby-sitters club and tried to start a club of your own.
No, this was a bit after my time. However I totally wrote fic for Sweet Valley High and was into those teen romances.

6. You owned those lil Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls.
Only 2 but I wanted more!

7. You know that "WHOA" comes from Joey on Blossom.
Sure! And I watched it.

8. Two words: M.C. Hammer.
Two more: Hammer Time!

9. If you ever watched "Fraggle Rock".
We couldn't afford HBO, but I did see a few at a friend's house.

10. You had plastic streamers on your handle bars.
And a basket on my bicycle.

11. You can sing the entire theme song to "Duck Tales".
Again, I was too old for this.

12. When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons.
Damn straight! Back in my day we had Saturday morning cartoons like God intend instead of this live action crap. Except for Kidd Video where they were trapped on the Flip Side.

13. You wore a pony tail on the side of your head.
My hair was too fine for this. Seriously.

14. You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the big screen.
We didn't go to alot of movies, I wouldn't have wasted my shot on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

15. You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.
I think I was too old for this.

16. You made your mom buy one of those clips that would hold your shirt in a knot on the side.
I was a tubby little kid who would never do something like that.

17. You played the game "MASH" (Mansion, Apartment, Shelter, House) with friends at school.
Dear God all the time!

18. You wore Jordache jean jacket and you were proud of it. -
Couldn't afford it.

19. L.A. Gear.....
Couldn't afford it.

20. You wanted to change your name to "JEM" in Kindergarten. -
Jem was when I was a bit older and I liked the "bad" band better.

21. You remember reading "Tales of a Fourth-Grade Nothing" and all the Ramona books.
Those and Anastasia Krupnick! Anastasia and Ramona ROCK!

22. You know the profound meaning of "WAX ON, WAX OFF" -
Now THIS we saw in the theater.

Just so I could kiss Josh Brolin.

Yes. And plain neon colors.

25. You can remember what Micheal Jackson looked like before his nose fell off.

Hell yes! And a friend had Thriller we'd play over and over.

That was the big question.

27. You took Lunch Pales to school.
This are the trading cards right? Lunch Pail Kids? Like the Gargabe Pail kids...

28. You remember the CRAZE, then the BANNING of slap bracelets.
What I remember was friendship pins. Not bracelets (those were later). The pins you made with a safety pin and beads in various colors and then gave them to your friend and then used a larger safety pin at times to hold on to all your many friendship pins. Except me. I was accused of stealing one girls. Which I didn't.

29. You remember Robotech.
Uh huh

30. You remember Hypercolor t-shirts.
Yeah. I saw something like that in Bed Bath and Beyond.

31. Barbie and the Rockers was your favourite band.
Even in elementary school I had better taste than that.

32. You thought She-ra and He-Man should hook up.
Weren't they related? And now looking back on it, He-Man was totally gay.

33. You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you exchanged friendship bracelets.
See above about Friendship pins.

34. If you ever owned a pair of Jelly-Shoes.
Yes a red pair.

35. After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you kept saying "I know you are, but what am I?"
I didn't see that for a long damn time, not my type. Besides that was around long before Pee Wee.

36. You remember "I've fallen and I can't get up"
EVERYONE remembers that. But yeah I remember the actual commercial.

37. You remember going to the skating rink before there were in-line skates.
Of Course! I had my own skates, thank you very much. Got 'em for xmas one year. Hell I've never used inline skates before.

38. If you ever got seriously injured on a Slip and Slide.
We didn't have one, and I only used them occasionally. We didn't need a Slip N Slide we'd go down to our family's place at the beach.

39. If you have ever played with a Skip-It.
I have vague recollections of this.

40. You had or attended a birthday party at McDonalds.
Too old for this, but Chuck E Cheese yep. I even went through the little door mouse crawl way instead of the real door. Except I was too damn tall and had to sneak into stuff. I was always too damn tall.

41. You've gone through this list occasionally saying "This wasn't from the 80's!" Nope

42. You remember Popples.
Hey! I totally ripped them off for a story I wrote.

43. "Don't worry, be happy".
Is now stuck in my head.

44. You wore like, EIGHT pairs of socks over tights with high top Reeboks.
Didn't have high top Reeboks but I did do the mulitple sock thing.

45. You wore socks scrunched down.
You mean that wasn't how god intended them to be?

46. "Miss MARY MACK MACK MACK, all dressed in BLACK BLACK BLACK"
I knew all of those. Hello Operator get me Number Nine I can't remember the words to the rest of it, but it just skated past all the bad words.

47. You remember boom boxes vs cd players.
And those BIG long boxes cds came in

48. You remember watching both "Gremlins" movies. - Never watched those until the 90s not my thing

49. You know what it meant to say "Care Bear Stare!!"

50. You remember watching Rainbow Bright and My Little Pony Tales.
Okay, I had a Rainbow Brite (I think) but I didn't watch the cartoon. And I had a My Little Pony just like my friends had tons of those little suckers but I didn't watch the cartoons.

51. You thought Doogie Howser was hot.
Well, duh.

52. You remember Alf, the lil furry brown alien from Melmac. From before the 1-800-COLLECT commercials.
I don't knwo why the resurrect him for the commercials he was better forgotten.

53. You remember New Kids on the Block when they were cool. -
I was a Sophmore when the craze really hit big, there was one girl who was just NKOTB crazy. Not me. I had a crushs on actors who played bad boys.

54. You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By the Bell", the ORIGINAL class.
I never saw that thank god.

55. You know all the words to Bon Jovi - SHOT THRU THE HEART. -
I had a picture disc of Slippery When Wet. It was purple background and on oneside was Jon Bon Jovi and on the other side was the band. Dude I so knew all the words to the songs.

56. You remember the Thundercats and transformers.
I would eargerly await watching The Thundercats. I had no use for the Transformers. And my real love was with GI Joe. I had a thing for Snake Eyes...the mysterious man thing. The X Men cartoon fell into the time line somewhere but I just remember

"And knowing is half the battle."

Which should SO be in this list.

Also --where is Punky Brewster? Why didn't she make the list?
