I had such a *blast* last night! I have to go back dancing more, mabye on a non 80s night. E said she had fun even though she just hung out by the bar and chatted with people and the bartender.
Me--I danced. Not every single song but a lot of them. We got there early, a bit earlier than I would have liked so the dance floor was really empty and I need to start taking advantage of that. It took me a bit to be okay with getting out on the dance floor even though there weren't more people. I have to find different shoes though because I couldn't dance where the speakers mainly sitauated and so the base is the best---the floor is kind of rough wood and my shoes don't like that.
One of the songs played early in the night was Depeche Mode's Never Let Me Down Again, and I kept thinking "It's Clark and Lex's song!" I wanted to go over and tell E, but I don't think she would have gotten it.
Any way, it took me some but I finally just did whatever I felt like and let the music take hold of me I probably looked either like completely spastic or like I was on drugs...or both. I'm not sure I don't look at myself in the mirror. I did let some of my dancing evolve into Jilli dancing...or at least what I saw pictures of as I haven't actually seen the beauty of Jilli dancing myself.
Plus I danced with some people. Me and this girl danced to "I touch myself" and then I danced with this one guy...before that, but he wandered off and I wandered off. And later he came back and danced with me. He kept dancing with me. He was a great dancer and I was still feeling kind of spastic and it's hard for me to keep up on 2" heels (not to self get different shoes) but he and I basically grooved off each other for I'm not sure how long, but defintly awhile until the end of the night.
It was a great way to ring in my birthday.
Oh and then to come home and jump online briefly and get birthday wishes from the Buffistas.
