I'm goign to the beach for the week, starting on Tuesday. Mom and I are going and that means I should probably scrape up $6 so I can pay my library fines and check out a bunch of books.

I need to see if we have a Scrabble game anywhere, I'm not going without sufficent entertainment.

I watched Stargate last night. When I saw the preview for the episode I was kind of eye rolling and thinking "they're making Daniel insane again!" poor guy, he keeps going nuts.

But the episode wasn't like that at all and the survivors on the ship weren't evil. Okay the one Souvriegn was arragont and mean, but the guy who put Daniel in that situation was just trying to save his people. And his son.

Michael Shanks did a great job with being three other people. I wasn't confused by the two adults at all. He also did a good job playing Kenan, which could have been done so so badly. I have to say that I'm really glad the story wasn't for Jack to have all this in his head because I don't think there is anyway that RDA could have pulled off playing the three different people. Nothing against RDA but he played Jack possessed by alien intelligence and Teal'c in Jack's body just about the same way.

I didn't realize how tiny Janet was! I just haven't paid attention until what's his name wanted to see the small woman. And then I saw her standing beside the guard. I'll have to go back through my tapes and see if there's a shot of her standing next to Tea'c. Speaking of Teal'c, his devotion to Daniel was really cool to see.

I know most people are Jack/Daniel4EVah! Kind of people but I keep seeing the subtext for Teal'c and Daniel.

I finally saw Brassed off! tonight. It wasn't like the description Netflix gave, but that was okay. I liked the music.

My library will let us check out stuff if we have fines that are under $10. Which is nice, if I go to check something out and have no cash on hand. Or not enough, or need my cash for dinner or something.

Blockbuster, on the other hand, does NOT feel the same way, and will actually send you to Collections if you don't pay late fees quickly enough. Learn from my example.

My library is pretty cool, when I'm turning in books and realize I've forgotten something that's late they'll renew and let me pay the fine on the next visit.

However, when I got my current library card a few years ago they put in my last name wrong and didn't catch that back in 1994 or so I never returned three books and a few months back the second account finally caught up with me. I had a $70 fine on that account to pay back the books I lost. So I'm paying it off $5/visit. I'm done to $35.85.
