I liked Fred when we first met her---even though she seemed crazy she was fiesty and had a spine. She clearly had killed people in Pylea and done things in order to survive. Then she came back to LA and she was just crazy. Occasionally she had her ruthless moments...That Old Gang of Mine, and when she made the foot powered decapitating device.

The romantic triangle of Fred/Wes/Gunn was interesting, but that was more Wesley's story because Fred and Gunn never realized that Wes was interested in Fred.

And then came the pancake kisses of happy coupledom.

This season, however, Fred's back to being interesting ( spoilers here )
