I'm getting dance shoes for Christmas. I've got it narrowed down to two styles. I finally realized that nude is the best color (goes with more, makes the leg look longer).
So it's between: Wrap Sandal w/Stappy Vamp or Eliana. The Eliana vamp (that's the part that goes across the toe) because most vamps are either solid or strappy but not both and most of the women I know have shoes more along the lines of the first shoe. The style I like the best only comes in white.
Heh. If you notice there's a typo in the description for Eliana. I have to call them and ask about fit though. My feet are weird. And now I found this Sylvia. Of course the shoes I loved the most I can't get for a variety of reasons. They come in a specialized material just for competitions and they are closer to $200. So you know, no go there.
Right now I have practice shoes, black lace up. Which are good because I can wear them almost anywhere and not worry about messing up the suede soles. When I get my ballroom shoes I'll only wear them to dance class and to places where there is no danger of them getting wet. Which means not wearing them out on Wednesdays (there are always spills), but I can wear them to practice, the USABDA, Hispanc Association and other dances. Plus the showcase I'll be in this Spring. When I get back from Thanksgiving I have to decide what dance I want to do and start trying to find a song.
