Collected Thoughts

Went to dinner with my friends and then went bowling. We had to wait for a lane so we played air hockey (I lost) and pool (I lost...the pool table sucked big time). And the we bowled (I lost). You noticed the trend there?

But it was tons of fun! I was going to wear my tiara but I left in my car and we ended up taking theirs. Oh well. In the lanes next to us were a buncha drunken kids who looked underage or just 21. They kept dancing and grinding to the music instead of bowling...it was distracting, but evidentally they'd been there all night.


I bowled a 88 and a 70 (I think). Which, IMO, are fairly decent scores for someone who hasn't held a bowling ball since 1994 or so.

Stargate was taped although I saw some of it. I really want to go watch it now but then I'll be up all night so the thing to do is go to bed now so I can get up sooner and watch it then.

Tomorrow I'm doing something with Mom...I think we are having dessert somewhere. She didn't want to have a full meal, we may go shopping. I'm not sure. I also have to track down dad and see what he wants for Father's Day since he's never told me and we have to figure out our plans for Sunday---a combo Father's Day my Birthday celebration. And then Sunday night is DANCING!

I hope on Saturday I can find something to wear. I need a new pair of shoes...something with either a smaller heel or a narrower heel.

Maybe later in the week D and I can get together and go shopping she's really good at that.

I hate shopping for clothes. The only thing I found I really like is this long denim skirt that was on sale at Lane Bryant.

Almost everything else I liked either wasn't in my size or out of my budget.

I got pissy when I was in Dillard's though, I was thinking maybe they were having one of their sales so I asked this one saleslady if the store carried clothes in 16/18 that was trendy and young---like 20s. She kinda looked at me and pointed me to the Tommy stuff they had in the Women's section.

Now, I know Tommy has cool stuff, but this was all ultra preppy. Ick and I said "that's too preppy." And then she pointed to some black and white stuff---that had appliques of cutesy flowers. Or they had some Hawaiian shirts...not the cool Wash Hawaiian shirts but these tacky looking eye rolling, the tourists have hit shirts.

I said no, I was looking for really trendy stuff. She just gave me this look, I told her there was nothing wrong with the clothes they just all looked like something my Mom would wear (which is a lie, except maybe she'd wear the Tommy). I just got a snippy "we don't."

Whatever. Burdines at least tries.

Maybe I'll look around online and see what I can find but I really dont' want to have to pay shipping and handling.

I finally had a chance to sit down and watch the Lowdown and the premire all the way through, although I watched some of the Lowdown last night.

Christopher Judge is really funny. Maybe they can do an alternate universe thing where Teal'c isn't so stoic. He pounced on Micheal Shanks! Amanda Tapping was really funny as well. Too bad Sam doesn't get more of a chance to have a sense of humor "I want a boyfriend that doesn't die!" hee.
