Oh this is a fun one!

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks?
Creek

2. What the thing you push around the grocery store/supermarket?
Shopping Cart

3. A metal container to carry a meal in?
lunch box

4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in?

5. The piece of furniture that seats three people?
Couch or sofa

6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof?
Gutters

7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening?
Porch or screen porch, depending if it is screened. A glassed in area would be a Florida Room.

8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages?
coke, not to be confused with Coke. A coke can be any carbonated beverage including Coke. but a Coke is always a Coca Cola. Or Co'cola.

9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup?
Pancake

10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself?
Sub

bathing suit

12. Shoes worn for sports?

15. The little insect arthropod that curls up into a ball?
rolly poly

16. The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down?

17. How do you eat your pizza?
Some bites from the pointy end. But then tear off the crust and then either eat it plain or (if I'm hope alone) dip it in my coke.

18. What's it called when private citizens put up signs and sell their used stuff?
Garage sale

19. What's the evening meal?
supper

20. The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are?
Well, we don't have these kinds of rooms here. Or furnaces (it's Florida) but if we did they'd be basements.

Also my bonus question is---

In a house with two rooms for communal family living--1 room that has a tv, couch/sofa, and is where everyone spends most of their time. And one room where most of the "nice" furniture goes, where no one spends a lot of time. What do you call the two rooms?

Usually I hear them divided into "Family room" and "living room". Where the family room is where the family hangs out the living room is where no one lives.

Except I call the more formal room where no one spends much time the "front room".

I don't care whether it's Coke or coke, your pizza does NOT belong in it.

This is why I only do that at home, when I'm alone.

I grew up calling it the front room too, but it was in the front of the apartment. Now I call it the living room. And pizza in coke? No. Just, no.

In Chicago, most thin crust pizza is cut in squares.

It's not the whole pizza. It's just the dry crust from the round edge. With no cheese or sauce or anything. Which really doesn't make it better.

It's a holdover from when I was a kid, we'd do that and dunk our Grape Blo Pops into our cokes. Not at the same time as the pizza though.

Although the strangest food thing I like is crispy bacon on peanut butter toast. That used to be a breakfast treat Mom made for us.
