One more thing before I go to bed. I watched hockey tonight. Flyers v Rangers...it was interesting, plus it was nice to see a game on ESPN. The state wide sports channel makes everything look cheap. Part way through that game the Lightning v Oilers game started so I flipped between the two and then finished off watching the Lightning game.
Tampa Bay got the lead and managed to hang on! Go my new team!
Also I went to the library and they did not have The Complete Idiot's Guide to Hockey so I had put it on InterLibrary Loan. They did have some hockey guide by Cam Neely, that came out in 1998, however they didn't have it at the main branch so I'm waiting for it to be transfered to the main branch so I can pick it up.
During one of the intermissions of hockey I was flipping through the channels and accidentally hit on the religion channel that was just added. The cable company changed the line up, WGN used to be there and now it's not. So out of habit I flipped to the channel.
I saw Jack Van Impe, looking the same as he did when I first saw him about 15 yrs ago when his show was on the Fox affiliate in the early mornings. Jack Van Impe's a television preacher who has a show with his wife Rexella (that's really her name) and their thing is The End Times and Prophecies. (capital letters mine)
Just to see if Jack had changed his spiel any I went to look. And nope! He was still doing the same thing. He talks rather fast, says a bunch of things about how the world is going to end and at the end of most sentences throws in a book, chapter, and verse, from the Bible that supposedly supports what he has to say. It's sort of like Subliminal Man. BlahblahblahDaniel53:12blahblahblablalblahablahActs 4:2BlahblahblahblahExodus16:2blahblahblahblahAnd Jesus Will come down and save us!
I made up the Biblical references.
But he jumps around from the Old Testement to the New Testement and says things so fast you can barely understand him. He says that the second coming will be 2018. He knows this for a fact. He even did the math. My memory isn't that great but I'm pretty sure 15 or so years ago he had a different date.
Idly I wondered when he changed the date and how he justified it his viewers. Also his bad guy went from being the UN to the EU.

Although it doesn't surprise me that the Tampa library system doesn't have much in the line of hockey books . . .

I went to college in Virginia and know a bunch of actors who graduated from Liberty University. I like to check their movie previews to see if anyone I know is in them.
