I've discovered bittorrent.
Oh, I knew it was out there. I used to hear it and think enviously "stupid broadband dsl people with your fast connections and your clever ways." and harbor a bit of a grudge.
And when I got broadband I never really made the connection that, I too, could take take part in bit torrent. I'm kind of marvelling over the broadband experience like someone whose just discovered fire. Fire! It's pretty! and warm!
I'm still marvelling over the fact that when I turn on my computer---it's already connected to the internet! And vids only take minutes to download instead of about of an 1-2 hrs. So I'm at the Fire! It's pretty and warm! and things dry faster stage.
And then I'm talking to
minim_calibre and she says "Don't you have broadband?" When we were talking about The L Word and how I don't get it. And it clicks.
I can download the episodes. Fire heats food. Ohhhh....
So I downloaded an episode of The L Word. I looked and I saw it listed twice but both times it was the third episode. Or at least that's what it looked like. I really liked it. I wasn't sure about who people were and some of the relationship dynamics but I'll definitly be watching the rest.

Yeah, that happens a lot. Different groups put up the same episode, sometimes in a different format (mpg vs avi), and sometimes it's the exact same file. You'll get used to it.
Re:
The only other problem I ran into was running out of memory. I solved that by backing up some stuff and getting rid of somethings but I need to get some more cds so I can burn off what I download from supernova.
