Things my father shouldn't say to me EVER!!!:
(after Tampa Bay losing in OT) "Well, Calagry is the better team."
What on god's green earth possessed him to say that? I don't care if it's true I don't want to hear that the rival team is BETTER than my team. My team that is now 1 game away from losing the Stanley Cup.
There's supposed to be symphathy or commiseration or something.
Not that.

I'm not sure that's true
Re: I'm not sure that's true
I'm not sure why Dad said that, he's been watching hockey casually when it's on tv, whereas I've been actively seeking it out and trying to learn it. So maybe from what he saw of the game (third period and OT) it looked like Calgary was better.
Tonight was so frustrating...all those chances that didn't get converted! Plus all the times the puck and the stick didn't connect. And tonight was exciting. I spent the last few minutes of the third period with my hands over my eyes (well peeking through) because it was so nerve wracking! This has been WAY WAY more fun to watch and nerve wracking and frustrating than any Florida/Florida State football game I've ever watched.

That's the thing, they were getting their chances, but they weren't really capitalizing. Well, so it goes. It's all about next game now. Glad to see your injured boys back at it.
