First, I hate Mom's computer table set up. I'm at her house because she's out of town and I'm cat sitting.
Also I realized that I forgot to get the current GA so I guess I'll have to go back to the store tomorrow. Oh. Darn.
So, I'll start with , I sat there and read it in the parking lot. I couldn't wait. I know some people don't like that it's a woman who's been killed and abused but I don't have a problem with that, I'm not sure what their big secret could be. Actually I was hoping their secret was that they killed a villian or something, but I wasn't sure what their reason would be for doing that. One thing that really hit me was when Ollie said "What makes you think it was the only time?"
Yeah now I want to know when else they did that.
I'm not sure I like raving, slathering, Dr. Light, but I don't know about his history so maybe that's not far off. Or I'm just not used to DC villians. This week I'm actually more interested in the villians this week, what with the parts in the satellite. The little touches like question about where Merlyn got the coffee
"I thought Cronos was dead?" "Don't ask. He says he's the one from twenty-seven seconds pre-his-own-death." "I hate time travellers".
It reminded me of myself trying to figure out what the hell is up with some characters.
Speaking of, who's Iris? And Dr. Mid Nite.
Gah, I'm just not good at saying I'm completely engaged and want the next issue to come out now!!!!
It's taking me too long to write basically nothing except--
I've barely started reading it but---their love is so pure! hee. God I want to know the backstory on most characters and teams and right now I've given up downloading anything because it's too much damn trouble to keep trying to make hard drive space.

Of course, explaining all of Iris is an adventure in time travel fun in and of itself.
But, was dead, was in the future, came back, with Bart.

Also, Dr. Mid Nite--AKA Dr. Pieter Kross (sp?)--is a world-renowned surgeon and a member of the Justice Society. Blind, he uses special goggles that allow him to see in the dark, along with a number of other gadgets. He's pretty badass, actually. Also, he used to date Black Canary.

If you like good, old-fashioned comic book stories with a lot of smarts, JSA is a damn fine bet. Very few clunkers in the mix.
