Collected Thoughts

First I stayed home from work. I feel horrible about it but my god I needed a freaking day to pull myself together. I feel better even though I got zero sleep last night and I've gotten a few things done.

I called my shrink but they haven't called me back so in an hour or so I'll call again re: my meds.

And I called a different eye doctor, explained the situation and they said I should be seen by my HMO's optometrist first becauset the HMO perfers that, which was news to me. So I called them to set up an appointment, I didn't go into detail why since the eye clinic I saw yesterday didn't think that there was a need. But the appt they gave me was for Sept 9 and then I explained what was going on. I got put on hold and talked to someone else who asked me detailed questions and when I hesitated to use "peripheral vision" (because I got smacked down for using that yesterday) the person I spoke to said "you mean your peripheral vision". And said I could see them tomorrow at 8. So I'll be there.

The big difference is that they took me seriously and wanted to know information. And my supervisor knows what's going on.
