Gas Rumor in Florida FALSE

There was flurry of activity and panic in the office when someone said that Gov Bush was going to ration gas to 5 gallons per person.

This is FALSE!

I'm not sure how far it has spread but the government isn't enforcing a ration. Some gas stations that are rationing.

I really really hope that Ivan doesn't hit here because I can't imagine what it will do to the state.

Ivan's probably going to hit. My money is that Tampa is pretty much going to be on the wrong end of it, if not the exact point of landfall. Good news (relatively speaking)? Estimates put the intensity down to Cat 1 or even Tropical Storm by the time it gets there.
