Collected Thoughts

Work went really well today. There's definitly been a shift in things and I'm being given more responsiblity and I've been taking over a few other tasks. Except I forgot to order something again, Annoying Co worker will be there tomorrow so I'll have him deal with it. The latest issue of the newsletter came out, with my write up of an event we had! There was no by line but I know I wrote it. And there's a program to give out Instant Recognition, for jobs well done, a certificate is handed out as well as something small-- usually $10 worth of gift cards.

I got one! For Stepping Up to the Plate! does a little dance . Now I'm going to work harder to get another. The office dynamics are humming along really well but that's about to be thrown for a loop. Cool co worker is actually a temp replacement for this chick who went to do an internship. She'll be coming back and Cool Co Worker will be doing something different and I'm worried that some of my new responsiblities will be taken away because she will take the Accounting over. I'll cross that bridge when I come to it, but I figure she'll change the system we've got in order and I'll have to adapt.

Finally Finally got my comics from the last month. Wow. Just...wow. Hopefully War Games will come out in trade so I can read it.


I went to Lane Bryant after work and bought clothes. I was very disappointed they did not have the brown cords I wanted at either store.

Actually I went to the larger store and left after I tried on one thing, because I realized in the dressing room the service was really shitty and the other store always has nicer staff. I had to ask several times to get the manager's attention so I could get a dressing room. Before that I had to interupt a salesgirl who was chatting with a coworker. To make matters worse one coworker was folding clothes or something and right there out next to the clothes was a Chick fila sandwich and fries in the process of being eaten.

The food could have easily been spilled on the clothes and it just looks bad.

So I went to the smaller Lane Bryant, where they actually had more variety in the clothes, although not as many sizes for each thing.

I really wanted a sweater but 90% of the sweaters were turtle necks. I don't get that, turtlenecks are highly unflattering. Most of the other sweaters were too casual for work. I ended up getting 2 long sleeve vneck shirts, a pair of black pants, and three sweaters -- 2 from the clearance rack. Of course wait for the weather to turn warm again.



I got the second disc of Farscape in the mail. Can't wait to see it! I thought at first my Netflix dics didn't get here because the mailer is now Shrek Green. So I thought it was some stupid advertisement.
