I'm very impatient. Example-- I have a new computer.
Now, it's not the computer I was going to get. It's bigger (160G harddrive instead of 80) faster (um, I don't remember the specs off the top of my head) and a HP instead of Emachine. And I just got the tower. I was told yesterday that with Emachine it was either the whole package or nothing at all.
And all I wanted was the tower anyway. Now, I would have spent less if I had got the whole package + the rebates. But then I'd have a monitor, keyboard, printer, mouse, and speakers I didn't want.
I'm off to Sam's to go get the same speakers that my cousin bought yesterday.

Nothing beats those first few days (months?) of finding and installing everything you miss from your old computer. ;-)
And, if you ever do dig out the specs, some of the geeks in the audience may enjoy drooling over them...

But look! My shiny new computer !! (okay you can't really see it, but I may borrow dad's computer and take a picture of the old tower and the new one.)
My old computer was: 13 G hard drive, 500 Mhz processor, originally 64 MB RAM but I upgraded at some point.
New computer: 160 G hard drive, 2.1 Ghz processor, 512 MB RAM.
I went from a car with primer and missing hubcabs and a plastic bag covering one window to a sleek sexy new car.
I probably should have gotten something with a faster processor but -- it's so fast and it doesn't take several minutes to start up and ... pretty. I named her Anya.
Until I can unearth the stuff on my old harddrive (or find my back ups..they cds are around here someplace) I need to find some wallpaper and things to download.
Oh! I can play Launchcast at home!!! I couldn't do that before!!
