askye at 11:07pm on 10/01/2005There were sucky things about today. 1) I realized I'm probably screwed out of an ebay purchase. The person never sent me anything and is no longer a registered user, but I'm going through the steps to try and get my money back.
Alos my computer crapped out. My new one. the shiny new one. I thought it was Comcast and their stupid broadband, but no, I was told to call HP. The first HP person didn't offer anything helpful other than "run system recovery." I didn't back anything up because I was pissed off and not thinking straight, but that's okay because I hadn't downloaded that much. Mostly I wanted my money back, I was put on hold for a manager and got disconnected.
When I called back a lady helped me, she went through all kinds of things and now my computer is working right. However if I have this problem in a week I'm going to be back to angry and only wanting a refund.
She suggested something called Trend Micro that can run scans for viruses and suggested I use it along with SpySubtract and Norton. Just to be sure. So that's what I did and it looks like my computer is clean right now.
