This whole no computer thing at home is KILLING ME! seriously. it sits there and mocks me.
And then I had vcr problems. Dad has a maid service that comes in, they have a tendancy to unplug things, so I try to keep the vcr plugged into the power strip and the powerstrip out of the way. However when I came back Monday all plugs were unplugged --it's a really good thing I wasn't trying to tape anything (totally a first world problem). I got lazy and didn't reset the computer until last night --- and I couldn't get the set clock function to work. Good thing Lost was a rerun.
However, the Wire came and I watched the first episode. I really like this show, I'm intrigued by the characters and I really can't wait to see the next episode, but I'm rationing it becuase as much as I liked it I didn't feel up to 2 in a row. The episode was over just in time for me to watch the last half of Project Runway.
Oh and I caught a bit of Alias, I've never sat down and watched any of it but I'm going to add it to my Netflix queue.

Need Wire Icons, someday.

"Got to, man. This is America."
And in the next episode, there is a scene all in profanity which is surprisingly moving and a testament to the actors'skills, but I'll STFU now.
Dare I hope I get the toaster? :)

I've now watched all three episodes and I want to watch them again because I think I missed stuff. I tried to listen to the commenaty on episode 1 but it wasn't that great. I loved the scene where D is teaching them about chess. And it's intersting to see what the cops have told him percolate, when he starts asking questions about aspects of dealing.
I've now watched the first episode of Homicide again -- I swear it doesn't matter how many times I've seen it as soon as the phone starts ringing I want to reach through and slap Tim's hand away. He's so young and innocent! His puppy dog like enthusaism, his outrage over Pembleton's interrogation techniques...
I don't know why...
"Unless they some smart-ass pawns."
If Timmy had hesitated...
