My socialisation schedule changed drastically when I came to the USA. I fear I might be in a similar boat to yours. Every time I try to do something significant, I manage to procrastinate and eventually veto it. It's weird. I used to be something of a random and frequent socializer, and now I'm not. I think it was something to do with there being farther between drinking places and sleeping places. You can't stagger home from the pub in America (or at least in this part of it), and I think that has discouraged me a lot.

It's so frustrating trying to find like minded people around here. I don't want to go to bars, I don't belong to any service organizations or things like that. I know there are poeple with similiar interests and I don't know how to find them!

If I was really into crafts and things like that it would be easier. I do have E to hang out with, but then she doesn't really have many more friends than I do.

If I were college age this would be easier ( I think).

I've tried that several times, but anything I'm interested in doesn't seem to have an actual meet up. There seem to be meet ups happening for stuff I'm not interested in. I'll have to look around lj itself and see what I can find.
