Oh no, not fanon at all. He canonically passed the Mensa test (but didn't actually join). Also, in one ep he figured out the 15-square puzzle before Rodney did. He's a smart one, our Johnny.

And the math stuff turns Rodney on! (Okay, that part is a little fanon-y. *g*)

That's really cool. I love that he's smart and can hold his own against Rodney. I got really disappointed with the dumbing down of O'Neill.
