askye at 09:23am on 31/05/2005I'm moved! And very sore. I was hobbling around Sunday, Monday and this morning barely able to straighten my legs my calves screaming at me. And yet, I pushed myself Sunday and Monday. It's all the trips to the house and up the stairs. There aren't that many but after all the trips it adds up. There's stuff still in my car I just had no energy to bring back in. I used some generic muscle rub and it's helped.
I didn't have internet access all weekend. There was a major screw up and Comcast didn't close out my cable order and put in my internet order. But actually the problem started with the guy I talked to last week about getting internet -- he didn't tell me I had to register my modem and pick out a plan and he didn't take money and I should have realized that was wrong, but I was so busy with calls to the carpet cleaners, the phone company, etc. I discovered this Saturday night -- I talked to 2 people who couldn't find my account and couldn't give me answers. Then I called back and talked to someone who could find my account and gave me all the correct info but told me to call back on Sunday and yes everything could be taken care of. Call on Sunday talk to someone who can't find my account, hang up, call again, this person finally managed to get my account, but the sales office was closed and blah blah. I was so frustrated I called Sprint.
Mom's been having connection issues for months with Comcast and she keeps getting jerked around and she's ready to switch. She's gotten two months taken off her bill becuase she hasn't had service for the majority of them.
I digressed.
My place looks a little empty but it would without all Grandma's stuff (seriously it was packed full). I have plenty of storage except for the kitchen and that's going to drive me nuts.
But I love my place and it's wonderful. I have pictures I need to post and I'll get those up asap.

As for the kitchen storage, I had the same problem back in Baltimore (and to a lesser extent, here). What I did was put the stuff I use most often in the kitchen proper, and put things that I use less often (canning equipment, mega-large stockpots, etc.) in storage elsewhere in the house.
