Most anime series take about five or so episodes to really get going for some reason, but yeah, Fullmetal Alchemist was great right out of the gate. Another one that's good (and that will be premiering on Adult Swim next weekend) is Bleach. It takes a few episodes to really take off, but once it does...

Life on Mars is one I'm really wanting to see.
