askye at 03:40pm on 31/12/2006Finished Supernatural! There was much flailing and I will even admit to getting teary eyed when John was in the hotel room finally reunited with the boys. Dean went up to hug him easily and then John and Sam sort of stood there awkwardly and I kept thinking "hug! Sammy hug your Dad! John Hug your son!" and finally they did and it made me happy. And then those shadow demons showed up and tore the family apart again. My heart broke a little and I LOVED every minute of it!
I haven't felt this mixed up -- sad, happy, things are going great! wait TPTB just ripped out my hear and stomped on it since Buffy and Angel. BSG has had a few moments, but it's big and sprawling with lots of characters and here this is concentrated to Sam and Dean and John.
Plus how can I not love a show that has TWO Lord King Bad Vids as canon. Seriously.
I've also watched hockey (yay we won, Prospal broke his streak of 21 games with no goal. I love watching him play normally because he's so animated and it's great to see his reaction to scoring. He got hit right after he shot the puck and was lying on the ice. He just laid there and covered his face with his hands.). I love watching hockey players celebrate goals.
And I just watched The Thin Man. I have the boxed set but wanted to start from the beginning. Now I'm about to watch Hero since I've had it forever from Netflix. This weekend I've also cleaned out my fridge (which was nasty) and cleaned it, did some laundry and spent a small fortune on healthy groceries-- refrained. So I wasn't entirely slothful.
After Hero I'm going to watch The Closer (which is also from Netflix)and hope that S2E1 of Supernatural is done downloading. And watch Dexter.
