I finally opened an ING account. Used part of hte income tax return and I just moved over some money from my paycheck. Not a lot but a little and this is my no touch money I don't know what I'll use it for but I don't want to touch it for a year and then decided.

I was chatting with my brother about his son (!) and they want to go green and natural for their son (I love saying that) and if any of you have suggestions please let me know! thanks!

My one less drink at work plan is going well except I got my income tax return and spent a little stupidly.

But I did put down part on my credit card and then also I'm inthe process of opening an ING savings account. My issue is if I can easily get to the money it will be spent. So I'm hoping that each pay check I'll just sock away a little money.Even if I just start with five dollars that's better than what I've got now,

I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow. And I need to do my take home test. and um, other stuff.

I wanted to make some changes and be smarter about my money but I try todo things and then get bogged down because they don't work. I'mnot one of those people who can wake up one day and just make a sweeping change.

I suck at that.

What evidentally does work for me is taking micro steps. That's how I became a vegetarian and other changes I 've made (that stuck) where tiny tiny steps.

So my first step is buying one less diet coke at work for the next 2 weeks. I can do that! it's totally doable and so far I've done it. Then after that I'm going to make another micro change.  I'm starting to keep a record of how much I spend on a google spreadsheet but I haven't done that every day. But that's okay, because at least I'm doing it a couple times of week and it's just an experiment.

I think I'm going to introduce this idea to Mom. She eats out a lot and takes me with her and so she never is eating home made good food and I don't as much as I should and it's a waste of money for her. So I'm going to suggest to here that every other week we make dinner, maybe on the weekends. That's not a huge thing and I think it will work.

I'll see.

I've been really absent lately. My new job is going well.

I just made massive massive cuts in my friends list. It's not you honestly it's me. I just need to refocus for awhile and I cut out all but what I consider essential (And I may make more changes, not sure).

All the fannish stuff has been cut for right now.

Work is over at my temp job. My almost 4 year long temp job but it was good.

Friday I went to lunch with the officemates./ Then they managed to surprise me with a big party! With cake!  And there were presents. A Tampa Bay lightning long sleeve shirt I'm wearing right now and it's fucking great! (and I'm watching them not lose which is also good).  And an engraved desk clock which will go on my new desk, eventually. Plus flowers.

Ohand then the ladies over in the other office got me a couple of gift cards for dinner and a movie! I felt so appreciated and loved it was cool.

But I am looking forward to a low drama work placel

 I've got 3 more days of work! I'm excited!! I'm beaming around here I can't stop talking about how excited I am. New replacement is going to be out W-F. So it will be me at the front desk. I think maybe there is going to be somethign for me tomorrow, but I don't know.

Friday I'll be taking all mystuff home from work. I talked to my new boss and he said to be at the new job at 8:25 am. Which I can totally do! 

Some things are universal. Real life. Second Life. Fandom.

So far in Second life fashion issues I've seen a new blog feed get started and someone get upset that they were included and not asked (because it's opt out) -- wanted to know why does there have to be another see there's already one or two ! (This is OTW related).

Then also thievery. People ripping off clothes and skin in second life and the creators figuriing it out and protesting. Making complaints and this is like, well, any kinda theft in fandom.   The reasonings are similiar. It's just a game! (fanfic is stealing anyway!) or  I want to make money! (because I can !).

I got the JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
