 I have an official grade - B.

I really thought I'd managed to get enough extra credit to push it to an A, but I'm happy with this.

The congestion in my nose is still there, although not as bad. However it's travelled down  into my chest now.  Hopefully by the end of the week I'll be fine.

And I don't really remember anything I studied except the chain of infection, and I knew that to begin with.

Mom came through her surgery fine, she wasn't groggy when they brought me up to see her, in fact she was fiestiy and chomping at the bit to go.  I hung out in the waiting room and watched some Bourne Identity, they had wireless but it kicked in that you had to call a number to get an access code so I didn't, and instead watched more of the movie. After we left Mom wanted to eat so we went to the deli place across from the hospital and she ate, I had cheap food in the cafeteria.

Everything was done by 8:30 so hey! I could have gone to work, except I'm exhausted and not really with it. I'm tired and want to take a nap, but I can't fall asleep for some reason. Mom's napping.

Last night I watched Amazing Race
I'm all caught up on Project Runway Canada and now I'm wishing there was a top chef Canada, I'm more interested in Top Chef because I like food better than fashion.

I can't believe that there's no more Life until after the strike. These last two episodes were so fantastic. Although maybe people will find the show and it will be stronger after the strike.

Seriously, y'all need to be watching it. Damian Lewis is fantastic as Charlie Crews, a police officer who was wrongly convicted of brutally murdering his partner and his partner's family. DNA evidence proves his innocence and he gets a settlement and a detective's badge and he's trying to prove who set him up.

That's the bare bones of the show.  It's just an amazing show and Lewis is a great actor, you have his work to find who did this but also how he's dealing with life on the outside after being in jail for a decade. His partner is a woman, Dani Reese, who's complicated and complex and has her own issues with the force. She's played by Sarah Shahi. Also Robin Weigert (Calamity Jane in Deadwood) is in it. Plus Alan Arkin as Ted, Charlie's friend and housemate who was in jail for white colloar financial crimes and now handles Crews's money.

It's a great show strongly driven by the story arc.  A reviewer said it's as good as Homicide, and I think that's probably going over a bit, but it's by far the best police procedural on network television (imo).

Also it's a fantastic show to watch in HD.  On a shallow note, you can really see DL's eyes, and the way they crinkle up in the corner as he smiles, but also the show does an amazing job with cinematogrophy and lighting. There are all kinds of great scenes with Charlie in the natural light. It's a show that looks more real and natural because of the HD. The way Pushing Daisies looks even more supersaturated with color and even more like an over the top fairy tale, children's book.

I've been congested all day. I woke up at godawful 5:30 am this morning, my nose clogged, my throat dry as sandpaper gasping for air.  I got up, drank some water, used some saline nasal spray, and couldn't fall back asleep. So I read fic. yay fic.

Eventually  I found Mucinex and took that and it worked for awhile but then it crapped out on me so I've taken more. My poor nose is raw.  I don't have a fever, just a slightly elevated temperature, (at least for me, normally I run a bit on the cold side). I had plans today! plans that involved Christmas shopping in an actual store. But I don't feel like getting up and and out and dealing with crowds and a constantly dripping nose.

So I'm lazing around in bed and watching Project Runway Canada. YAY for McKay!

There's something going on with my desktop,. I turned it on because I was trying to remember a website, but it won't connect to the internet. It isn't wireless, so I unplugged the cable from the wireless router and plugged it in to the computer (from the cable modem) and nothing. I don't know what's going on and didn't care to deal with it. But  I have to figure so I can get it fixed.

My day hasn't been a total waste, I have picked up around the house and made myself lunch, not much just some frozen broccoli, a sweet potato, some fried okra (From frozen) and I finished off two more clementines.  I'm almost finished with the box and I have to go over to Winn Dixie tomorrow because they have a 5 lb box for $3.99. The cheapest I've seen them. Clementines are my favorite citrus fruit,  very sweet and yummy.  So when they are in season and cheap I eat as many as I can and then dream about them the rest of the year.

I'm going to finish up this episode of Project Runway and then study some.

I'm extremely sleep deprived and hopped up on caffiene so silliness is starting to come out of my mouth.

My co worker was singing (badly) and I asked him to stop, he says "You don't like my singing." And I replied "You have many fine qualities but singing is not one of them."  He said something about that being a nice way of saying it and I told him -- "you're supposed to sandwich criticism in with compliment, Compliment/criticism/compliment, like a sandwich. Only mine was more of an open faced sandwich, but with the criticism at the bottom. A delicious gravy over the brussel sprouts of truth."

I've got to get some sleep tonight other wise random gibberish like that is going to end up being said to my boss.

Anna the Cat is, I think, a bit jealous of McKay the laptop. Normally when I'm on the couch she's in my lap,  (as long as there is  blanket over my lap), so I got on the sofa and I was trying to get comfortable, and pulled the lap top on my lap at the same time Anna jumped up. She looked at me like "WTF?" and then wandered off meowing.

Now she's back, she's laying across my legs and I can sort of reach her. I think she likes the heat from the laptop.

This thing gives off a good amount of heat.

Oral Presentation done.

I rambled and I think I made a fool of myself. But it's over.

Although given what she said about the papers I'm expecting a bad grade. However if she'd been CLEAR about her expectations maybe people wouldn't have done so bad.

Oh well.

Two more classes and then I'm done. I have little hope for the final.

Right now I'm watching Bones and as soon as it's over I'll be in bed.
