Heh.
I have this issue with about 90% of the Wesley stuff out there. I don't see it that often with Lex, but I'm picky about my Lex stories.
Clark, on the other hand, is a whiny baby and a big old stalker.
Re: Heh.
Well, in the later episodes Lex became a bit too whiny "my father never loved me" in my opinion. He was like the male, bald Lana >_<
I don't think that's what the character is like/is supposed to be like, I think it was just bad writing. Rosenbaum amazed me with his ability to say the most horribly stupid and unnatural lines in a way that made them sound unaffected and even cool.
Some fanfic writers, like some television writers, just can't resist the impulse to wallow in the pain and issues of the characters, making them overblown, trite and out-of-character.
It's a sad, sad truth.
Re: Heh.
Look this show is about fathers and sons and family. Look! Damn you! Fathers. Sons. Belonging.
I hope of the hiatus they've learned they don't need to beat the audience into a concussion in order to get a point across.

I try not to get my hopes up too much, but I definitely think they're going to try to improve in S2. What's that new writer they hired, Loeb? I hear his comics are really good.
